Kira Email Templates

Redesign

Target:
Leaders and admissions teams in higher education.

Purpose:
The marketing team has recently focused on demand generation through email marketing. Previously, our emails were created in Salesforce, which limited our ability to fully express our brand and styling.

Goals:
1. Attract a broader audience and increase awareness and interest in the Kira platform
2. Design templates for various use cases and establish an easy-to-use process for the marketing team to leverage them
3. Use tools like Stripo to create seamless, on-brand email templates
4. Ensure templates are compatible with all email clients and responsive across multiple devices using Litmus

Previous Emails

In our previous emails, there was a lack of branding, as it wasn’t a priority when the marketing team first started creating them. For example we used image assets from other collateral (e.g., LinkedIn posts, blog images, etc.), hoping they would fit, instead of creating assets tailored to the specific sizes and needs of each email.

Our team had been creating emails on a case-by-case basis, which resulted in a disorganized library of templates developed by multiple people. Our goal is to reorganize and create a more efficient process and designing clean, professional emails, while also keeping the reader's experience at the forefront.

Redesigned Templates

As a team we've narrowed it down and created templates for the monthly newsletters, webinars, gated content downloads, text-only emails, text with images, larger text headers, and emails which include icons.

During this process, we also established a more structured workflow by having myself create these templates in Stripo and transferring them over into Salesforce.
Doing so, the marketing team can now confidently build out emails independently and remove or add any assets that I have set up for them.
